Nothing here about her alleged role in the shooting death of Stax/Hi drummer Al Jackson Jr. and her indictment for the harboring of federal fugitive Nate Doyle who was accused of having been involved in the kiling? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.227.224.46 (talk) 18:29, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
Name at birth - conflicting sources
[edit]Some sources such as Allmusic give her name at birth as Craig. However, Juke Blues magazine, issue 63, 2007, contained an interview by Martin Goggin with soul singer Na Allen, in which he says: "I was born Nathaniel Allen in 1936 in a little place called Sidon, which is near Greenwood, Mississippi. My sister Denise Allen became Denise LaSalle...." That links to a footnote: "The surname Craig, given in many articles as Denise's real name, came from an early marriage." So, we have conflicting sources, and this needs to be mentioned in the text. Ghmyrtle (talk) 11:18, 11 March 2011 (UTC)
